Bridal party

Our location is just about set. The church location is set, the reception is just waiting for one or two things and that will be done as well. We have also told our friends of the bridal party, just 2 and 2. I told my friends last week over dinner while Susanna told her friends over coffee.

We might have a location and "save the date" very soon!

One of the hardest items planning a wedding is the "save the date" and locations. Once those are set, everything else can be planned around it. Susanna and I are getting very close to having the wedding and reception dates locked in, including the sites. It's going to be a very fast few months!

Finding a site

Today Susanna and I discussed the details of finding a site. It's not that easy, or harder than I believed. First, you need to figure out how many people you are inviting, just a ball park estimate. Let's say 100 guests. Then you need to find the site, some place that matches your wedding idea and mood. This is actually harder than it seems like, Susanna and I wanted to have lighting and a simple design but looks like many of the places we've seen are very fancy. Just saw a few that we liked and that's not even visiting the location yet.

Right now we're planning to visit the locations and hoping to find a nice location that is within our budget soon. Once we have that then we'll have the "save the date" and start sending out early notices to family.
